Reiki is a simple ancient healing technique brought to the western world in approximately 1937 from Japan.
The ethos of reiki is about rebalancing energy flow, and the experience of receiving a reiki treatment is of deep relaxation, similar to the effects of meditation.
There are no set numbers of reiki treatments required. You may benefit after having one session, however benefits may be accumulative. Regular treatments with reiki leads to increased vitality, wellbeing and inner peace. The treatment does not require removal of clothing. Reiki is a hands on and off treatment whilst the client remains seated or lying down quietly.
